Nova's Picks ("we", "us", "the site") respects your privacy. This page explains what data the site collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the site and understand how readers find and use it:
- Analytics data — anonymized page views, referrers, country/region, device type, and session duration via Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifying information through analytics.
- Affiliate click data — when you click an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon receives a tracking parameter that identifies Nova's Picks as the referrer. Amazon's own cookies and privacy policy then apply to your activity on Amazon.com.
- Email correspondence — if you email hello@novaspicks.com, we receive whatever you send (name, email address, message). We use it only to reply to you.
- Server logs — our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard request logs (IP, user agent, URL) for security and abuse prevention. These are not used for marketing.
What we don't collect
- We do not run an email newsletter and do not maintain a mailing list.
- We do not sell, rent, or share visitor data with third parties for marketing.
- We do not run third-party ad networks or behavioral retargeting pixels.
Cookies
The site uses two categories of cookies:
- Functional — for example, remembering your light/dark theme preference. These are first-party and do not track you across other sites.
- Analytics — set by Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate site usage.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.
Affiliate links and Amazon
Nova's Picks is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click an Amazon link from this site and make a purchase, Amazon may pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you. See our Disclosure for full details. Amazon's own data practices are governed by Amazon's Privacy Notice.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR / CCPA / similar), you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of that data.
- Opt out of analytics tracking (use your browser's "Do Not Track" setting or an ad-blocker; we honor these signals).

Children
Nova's Picks is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, post a notice on the homepage.
