Nova's Picks

How I Rate

Every rating here is my own — an editor's read of the full picture, not a number borrowed from anywhere else.

Where the picks come from

Each review starts with research: I read through the verified-buyer reviews on a product, then weigh that against manufacturer specifications and named editorial coverage from outlets like Tom's Hardware, Tom's Guide, RTINGS, TechRadar, and Allure. I summarize what owners report in my own words — I don't copy review text, and I don't invent names or testimonials.

No brand pays for, sponsors, or pre-approves these posts. The picks are based on what the evidence says. If the evidence says skip it, the post says skip it. Posts contain Amazon affiliate links — if you buy through them I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

My editorial rating

Every product gets a single editorial rating out of 5. It's my independent judgment — an editor's read of the whole picture, weighing how owners describe living with the product, how the specs hold up, what independent reviewers found, the value at the price, and the honest trade-offs. It is an editor's verdict, not a paid placement and not a hands-on lab test.

The rating is my own and reflects my editorial read at the time of writing. I don't republish a store's star average — the score you see is the one I stand behind.

About prices

I never print an exact price that could go stale. Prices move daily and often dip on sale, so I describe the range and send you to Amazon for the live number — the price you see at checkout is always the current one.
